				I was extremely disappointed with my experience as a Legal Aid client at Alex Mandry Family Law. Throughout the process, I felt unsupported and inadequately represented. Information requested by the other party appeared to be accepted without sufficient consideration of whether the requests were appropriate. It was only after my treating professional provided a letter raising privacy concerns that some of the requested information was identified as potentially unsuitable for release. In my opinion, these concerns should have been addressed earlier in the process. I was also concerned by two separate telephone incidents involving the receptionist, Susan. On both occasions, the call was not properly disconnected, allowing me to overhear discussion of my situation and my feelings with another person. Whether intentional or accidental, these incidents left me feeling distressed and raised concerns for me about professionalism, discretion, and the handling of sensitive client matters. When I later raised my concerns by phone with the receptionist, Susan, my Legal Aid funding was subsequently cancelled. I cannot comment on whether the two events were related; however, the timing left me feeling that my concerns had not been properly heard or addressed. As a result, I am now facing an upcoming court date without legal representation and without the financial means to obtain alternative representation. After more than a year with this firm, my daughter remains separated from her family, and the matter has not progressed in a way that has improved that situation. Based on my experience, I felt let down by both the representation I received and the way my concerns were handled. I would not recommend this service.
